A woman died and her husband was injured in a boating accident Tuesday on the lower Amite River, near Killian in southeast Livingston Parish, said a state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries spokesman.

The couple were identified late Tuesday as Richard Ledoux, 58, and Deborah Ledoux, 59, of Livingston, spokesman Adam Einck said.

Einck said wildlife and fisheries officials received a call at 6:30 p.m. reporting the accident. He said they are not sure who made the call, but they suspect it may have been the husband.

Two men died Tuesday evening in a three-vehicle crash on State Road 46 in Lake County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

Ryder Medlin, 19, of Mount Dora, was driving an SUV westbound on SR 46 near County Road 437 around 5:30 p.m. when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old Sanford man, officials said.

The pickup spun counter clockwise and struck a Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 52-year-old Lisa Garbers of Longwood.

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Prince William Parkway in Manassas, Virginia. Prince William County Police officers were called to Prince William Parkway near Crooked Knoll Way just before 2 a.m. Tuesday. Jason Nathaniel Ayers, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 23-year-old Alexandria woman, was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries.

BRUNSWICK | A member of a vacationing South Carolina family was killed and five others injured late Monday in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 95 just north of Glynn-Camden county line, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The family of six from Duncan, S.C., was traveling south on I-95 in a 2004 Ford Expedition when a tire blew out just before 6 p.m. causing the vehicle to overturn, Pfc. Kevin Ziegler of the Georgia State Patrol said.

Officials tell NBC Montana the name of a man who died in a fatal crash Monday evening.

Montana Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in the crash and the victim was not wearing a seat belt.

The 61-year-old Missoula man was Robert Lambert.

NBC Montana was told his pickup went off an embankment on a county road south of Clinton area.

Montana Highway Patrol says Lambert was traveling westbound on Schwartz Creek Road at about 7 p.m. Monday night when his pickup drove off the south shoulder of the road.

Marco Borghese, 70, of Cutchogue, was pronounced dead at Peconic Bay Medical Center, in Riverhead, after a two-vehicle collision June 30, 2014, on Route 25A in Wading River. Suffolk County police said Borghese’s car "failed to navigate a curve in the roadway" and collided head-on with a delivery truck.

The owner of Long Island's first winery -- Castello di Borghese, originally Hargrave -- died in an auto accident Monday afternoon in Wading River, days after his wife died following an illness, officials and police said.

Two Genesee County men died in a six-vehicle Thruway accident Monday afternoon, east of Rochester, State Police said today.

The deaths occurred in the initial collision, which occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near Mendon.

A westbound pickup truck was hit by an eastbound commercial vehicle, hauling a construction dumpster, that had crossed the center median and hit the pickup head-on, troopers said.

Killed were Michael F. Pehrson, 51, of Batavia, and Christopher M. Rheinheimer, 25, of Darien. Troopers said they were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal pickup truck-semi trailer rig crash on U.S. 40 near Roosevelt.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said Jeffrey S. Hitchcock, 42, of Salt Lake City, was eastbound when his 2007 GMC pickup inexplicably drifted into the oncoming, westbound lane and collided with a semi hauling two full crude oil tanker trailers about 11 a.m. Monday.

Hitchcock, whose vehicle burst into flames, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 55-year-old Winter Park man was pronounced dead after losing control of his sport utility vehicle on Florida's Turnpike on Monday afternoon, resulting in a crash that shut down all southbound lanes of the highway.

Florida Highway Patrol identified the victim as Dennis Wickham. The crash was at mile post 246. Emergency vehicles responded, causing slowdowns on northbound lanes of the Turnpike as the southbound lanes were detoured at Exit 249, Osceola Parkway.

A 68-year-old man riding his bicycle just outside Spanish Fork was struck and killed Monday morning.

Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon said the victim, identified as Wayne Warner Harwood, of Spanish Fork, was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on 1200 West near 8000 South about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Harwood, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene of the accident despite efforts by paramedics to revive him.

No citations were issued while the cause of the accident was under investigation.
