Bryan Starusnak told an investigating officer that he fell asleep at the wheel before striking a guardrail, bouncing off, and rolling over. Starusnak was issued tickets for unlicensed operator and aggravated unlicensed operation.

A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle as he was entering Interstate 690 was seriously injured late Thursday night.

The crash occurred near the Bear Street on-ramp at around 11:55 p.m., police said.

A 38-year-old male, later identified as Richard Warren, was driving a 2001 Suzuki when he struck a guide rail on the entrance ramp and was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Upstate University Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. No tickets have been issued.

The passenger of a Dodge Stratus in a two-car crash in Geddes Tuesday is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital, said a deputy with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office. Jabari Penda, 21, of the Wayne County village of Red Creek, was taken to the hospital with internal bleeding, police said. Wiggins also announced the identities of the two other people injured in Tuesday's crash, which occurred around 12:40 p.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 690: Lekeisha Denman-Duvall, 23, also of Red Creek; and Michael Bartowski, 34, of Van Buren.
