A mother and daughter were killed and five of the woman's other children were injured in a rollover car accident on a snowy interstate south of Pocatello. Rachel Hollibaugh, 38, of Dietrich, Idaho, was pronounced deceased at the crash site on Christmas morning, as was her 14-year-old daughter, Tanessa Hollibaugh. The five injured children were transported to a Pocatello hospital. Three children were treated and released, and a fourth was still at the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. According to investigators, the mother lost control of a Ford F-250 pickup and the vehicle rolled.

Sean C. Byers, 23, of Moxee was headed west on I-86 near the Pocatello Airport at about 6:30 a.m. when his 2002 Ford Ranger departed the left shoulder of the road, rolled, and finally came to rest in the median, according to Idaho state police. Byers was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, Laura E. Howell of Edgewood, Washington was trasnported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello in unknown condition.

Sean C. Byers was driving a pickup truck with Laura E. Howell riding with him when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled, not far from the Pocatello Airport. Both people were wearing seat belts at the time. Byers died at the scene, and Howell was taken by ambulance to a local medical center. The accident is still under investigation.

Idaho State police said that Jonathon Adamson, 18, was attempting to drive across railroad track in Shelley Wednesday morning when his pickup was struck by a train. Adamson was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, where he died.

A tractor-trailer carrying 85 cattle overturned in southeastern Idaho near Victor, killing 23 animals. The driver, Charles Camper, 54, of Florence, Colorado, was taken to Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs where he was treated for minor injuries.

52-year-old Lori Clark's semi-truck was stopped on the tracks Monday at about 5:15 p.m. and was then struck by a southbound Eastern Idaho Railroad train. Clark was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital, treated, and released.

Jessica L. Dial, of Twin Falls, was driving south after midnight near milepost 77, around 3 miles south of the Fort Hall exit, when her 1996 GMC Jimmy drifted off the left shoulder, police said. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled on its top.

All children were properly restrained during the accident. The survivors, Brittany and Justin were injured and taken to Pocatello Medical Center. Justin, 16 months,  is improving after several days in the hospital.

Brittany Christiansen was treated and released, while 16-month-old Justin Christiansen received serious injuries that required hospitalization in Pocatello. The truck driver wasn't injured.

The California native left Horseshoe Bend on Aug. 19 to travel to Missoula, Montana, to attend classes at University of Montana. He was reported missing when he didn't arrive for orientation on Aug. 20.
