A Washington man was killed Wednesday morning when his pickup rolled near the Pocatello Airport.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Pocatello Police and Power County Sheriff’s Office deputies. PMC’s LifeFlight helicopter also responded. Both lanes on I-86 eastbound were closed in the area while emergency crews were at the scene but have since re-opened.
Moxee man killed in Idaho rollover
Sean C. Byers was driving westbound on Interstate 86 near the Pocatello Airport around 6:30 a.m. when his 2002 Ford Ranger went off the left shoulder of the road, rolled and came to rest in the median, according to a release from the state police.
Sean C. Byers was driving a pickup truck with Laura E. Howell riding with him when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled, not far from the Pocatello Airport. Both people were wearing seat belts at the time. Byers died at the scene, and Howell was taken by ambulance to a local medical center. The accident is still under investigation.
