Biloxi-Gulfport, MSA pedestrian died Friday morning after being hit by an 18-wheeler on I-10 near the 55-mile mark. The accident occured around 8:53 a.m. on Friday, October 17 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The identities of the driver and the victim have not yet been released. Police are investigating why the pedestrian was on the highway.

Jackson, MSPolice have identified the fatal victims of the Friday Hazlehurst train accident as Andrew Gilmore, believed to be in his 40's, and three-year-old Rashad Gilmore. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. A second boy, four-year-old Rena Gilmore, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses told investigators that Andrew Gilmore was sitting along the tracks with the children when they were struck by the train around 6:15 p.m.
