Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.

A 53-year-old Gig Harbor man was killed at the site of a truck crash Monday morning on U.S. 97 after losing control of his tractor-trailer and crashing into a tree. Daniel Higgenbottom was speeding too fast for road and weather conditions southbound on the highway in a 2002 Freightliner, when he ran off the west side of the road at about 4:40 a.m. 18 miles from Cle Elum.What money damages are recoverable in a death claim?

One person was killed and two people injured in an off-roading accident near Ione, Washington which occurred at around 7:45 p.m. Saturday. The three people were driving a 1995 Honda Passport SUV off road in a meadow by Cedar Creek Drive just northwest of Ione. The vehicle went down a 30-foot embankment and came to rest on its side. The driver of the SUV, Gregory D. Keithley, died at the crash site. One passenger, Lisa A. Herron, was injured and transported to Newport Community Hospital. The other passenger, 34-year-old Jeremy A.

A 25-year-old Yakima man died Friday as a passenger in a Jeep that went over an embankment and rolled down steep terrain near Yakima. Jarrod M. Oyarzo, was ejected and died at the crash site. The driver, also 25, was transported a local hospital, where he was treated and released. He was not identified as of this report. The wreck occurred in icy road conditions on Forest Service 591.

At around 5:00am, Gerlach was driving on I-90 with Hedel-Ostrowski as a passenger when he began to drift into the left shoulder of the road. He then overcorrected, which caused the car to rollover two times, injuring both occupants in the process and sending them to the hospital.

Tanner Justin Gonsalez was driving on County Road U-Southeast when icy conditions caused him to lose control and crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He reportedly died at the scene. More info will be posted as it is released.

At about 9:00pm, Morris was driving on State Route 904 when his car departed the roadway and struck a rock wall, which caused it to roll back into the roadway. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, and was taken to the hospital via helicopter in critical condition.

At about 1:00pm, Zoe and Charles were stopped at an intersection when a pickup truck traveling in the same direction rear-ended their vehicle. Charles, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was the most seriously injured, and is still listed in serious condition, while Zoe has been listed in satisfactory condition. No one else in either vehicle was injured. This crash remains under investigation, and we will add more details as more information is released.

At about 9:00pm, a car with 16-year-old male passenger struck a bear that was in the middle of Highway 12. Though the passenger was wearing a seat belt, it failed to properly restrain him, and he was injured enough to warrant being flown by helicopter to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. The driver of the car was not injured, and the condition of the bear is unknown.
