At 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in Shelbyville, Jonathan Curtis was driving a blue 2001 Ford Focus when he ran a stop sign to turn onto Shelbyville Road from Hemp Ridge Road. When an officer indicated with his lights to pull Curtis over, Curtis accelerated and continued down Shelbyville Road toward Shelbyville. At this point Curtis crossed over into oncoming traffic, t-boning a vehicle at the intersection of at Frankfort and Mount Eden Roads, totaling the Ford Focus and injuring the other driver.

At about 3:00 pm, a man hijacked a woman's car, struck her with it, and fled the scene, which lead police to pursue the man. Eventually, the man crashed the vehicle and was detained, and the woman who was hit was hospitalized, but only sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police in Springfield Township, Ohio are searching for a man and a woman who robbed a Kohl's department store. The suspects are believed to be Jon Daniel McCormick, 24, and Paige McCormick, 21, both residents of Canton. The two got into a physical struggle with the store's loss prevention officer after attempting to shoplift, then fled the store. The suspects physically assaulted store employees as they left. In the parking lot, the suspects swerved to hit the loss prevention officer as they sped away, leaving the officer unconscious.

The suspect fled on foot after the crash and was arrested about two hours later near the Paragon Chateau movie theater in northeast Rochester, about 5 miles from the scene of the accident. Authorities believe the 57-year-old Rochester man was under the influence of alcohol, says Sgt. Dan Monnet. A 29-year-old woman and two juvenile passengers transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus for treatment; the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The only person seriously hurt was the driver who investigators say caused the wreck. Officers said they believe the woman was intoxicated. Dispatchers first started getting calls about her driving an SUV erratically about 6 p.m. The driver continued into Bellevue before she made her way back to Redmond. Police said she hit one car then, then another, after running over spike strips and crashing on Avondale Road. “The 30-year-old driver was actually pinned in the vehicle. She had to be extricated and was taken to Harborview.

Police said a drunk driver who crashed into another car and then drove away, resisted arrest in her driveway, slipped out of her handcuffs inside a squad car and then began screaming and kicking several officers. According to the affidavit for probable cause, on February 1, witnesses called 911 and said they saw Angela Kisler, 47, of Fort Wayne, hit a green Jeep near Trier and Lahmeyer Roads and then continue driving. They told police they believed Kisler was drunk. The witnesses followed Kisler to a home in the 7800-block of Willowwood Drive, near the Arlington Park area.
