Zachry Becicka, 23, killed; William Moore, 54, and one other person injured in suspected DUI wrong-way crash on Highway 50 near Pueblo West, Colorado

Around 6:00 p.m., William Moore of Pueblo was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 in his 1999 Mazda B2500 pickup truck at the same time a 1993 Honda Civic driven by Zachry Becicka of Pueblo West was going east in the eastbound lanes. The front left of the Mazda collided with the front left of the Honda, and Becicka was pronounced dead at the scene. Moore and a passenger in the Honda were both transported to Parkview Hospital. Colorado State Troopers said alcohol is suspected as a factor, and charges are pending.

John Quillen, 36, seriously injured, and Nicholas Summer, 26, mildly injured in crash on Interstate 25 in Pueblo, Colorado

John Quillen was driving his car northbound on Interstate 25 when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. Nicholas Summer was driving a semi-truck southbound and collided with the car. Quillen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered life threatening injuries. His was transported by ambulance to a local medical center. Summer was wearing a seat belt and treated for minor injuries. Troopers believe high speed and inadequate tires are factors in this crash.

Shay Santistevan, 41, injured in car accident after fleeing officers during a traffic stop on Interstate 25 near Trinidad, CO

Troopers state the woman was stopped Friday evening on Interstate 25 near Trinidad for suspected drunk driving and then drove off. The state patrol says troopers called off the chase because they deemed it too dangerous. A short time later the Colorado State Patrol was notified that the fleeing vehicle had crashed while exiting the highway. The woman received minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. Charges against the woman have not been released.

Josiah White cited and two injured in car accident on Lake Avenue in Colorado Springs

Two people were injured and another was cited following an accident on Lake Avenue Wednesday morning. Police said the accident occured around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Lake Avenue and the entrance to Interstate 25 in southern Colorado Springs. Police said a Nissan Altima was hdriving westbound on Lake Avenue, preparing to make a turn onto the southbound I-25 entrance. The car turned into the path of an Acura Integra that was driving eastbound on Lake Avenue. One of the occupants of the Integra had to be extricated from the vehicle, while the other exited without assistance.

Jonathon Schrein, 35, dies following a two-car collision with Preston Wells, 20, on Teller County Road 5 and Teller County Road 51 in Divide, Colorado

35-year-old Jonathon Schrein died following a two-car collision at the intersection of Teller County Road 5 and Teller County Road 51. The accident occured on Sunday, October 20 when Schrein turned onto Teller County Road 51 when Preston Wells, 20, hit him. Wells failed to stop at the stop sign between the roads, which caused the collision. Schrein died at Penrose Main Hospital. Wells was not injured and has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death.       

Jogger Michael Capote, 38, killed by vehicle in collision on Eastonville Rd. and Tompkins Rd. in Falcon, Colorado

18-year-old driver Brook Hill hit and killed a 38-year-old jogger at the Eastonville Rd. and Tompkins Rd. intersection in Falcon, Colorado Saturday.  The jogger was allegedly running the same direction as traffic, and made an immediate left turn as the driver came up behind him. The collision killed him at the scene. Speed, drugs and alcohol have been ruled out.

Motorcyclist Dustin Downs, 27, dies after colliding with a van at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs, CO

A motorcyclist was killed in Colorodo Springs after colliding with a van. The incident occured around 7:30 p.m. Monday night, October 13, when the van was making a left turn off of Colorado Avenue onto Tejon street when the motorcycle entered the intersection and hit the passenger side door. The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. The people in the van were unhurt.   

Robert Carroll, 48, dead in Pueblo, Colorado following a collision with a concrete barrier on a bridge, sending their truck into Fountain Creek

A 48-year-old person, whose name has not been released, died in Pueblo, Colorado Monday after their truck hit a concrete embankment on a bridge, sending the truck 150 feet before falling into Fountain Creek. The driver of the truck was travelling at a high speed at the time of the accident and is believed to have suffered from a medical condition, possibly causing them to lose control of the vehicle. This accident occured on Monday, October 13, 2014. 

Car drives into Colorado Springs home at the 2800 block of N. Chestnut Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado

A car drove into a home in Colorado Springs Sunday night, October 12. the incident occured at the 2800 block of N. Chestnut Street when the car went through two fences before hitting a brick wall. No information about injuries is available at this time.  

2 men hospitalized after car accident at Powers Blvd and Dublin Blvd in Colorado Springs, CO

Around 5:00 a.m. a Subaru Legacy on Dublin Boulevard ran a red light and struck a yellow cab on Powers Boulevard.  The 23-year-old male driving the Subaru was hospitalized with serious injuries. The 37-year-old male driving the yellow cab was taken to the hospital as a precaution. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.  Speed and foggy weather conditions could be a factor in the accident.
