One dead following two car crash in Teller County

An investigation into the crash found that Wells had failed to stop at the stop sign between Road 51 and Road 5.
35-year-old Jonathon Schrein died following a two-car collision at the intersection of Teller County Road 5 and Teller County Road 51. The accident occured on Sunday, October 20 when Schrein turned onto Teller County Road 51 when Preston Wells, 20, hit him. Wells failed to stop at the stop sign between the roads, which caused the collision. Schrein died at Penrose Main Hospital. Wells was not injured and has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death.
