Lansing, MILoren Stein was cutting grass near his Winsor Township home when his mower slid down a steep embankment into a ditch filled with water. The mower rolled on top of Stein and trapped him in the ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday, April 2, 2015A body was discovered floating in a pond near a crashed car in the Country Meadows neighborhood on Pinto Drive near 76th Street and Kraft Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. Friday. The victim was identifies as Peter Reed. The Kent County Sheriff’s Department believes the accident happened sometime Thursday night. A medical issue may have been at play, but the crash is under investigation. We'll update this story with any new information we receive.
