Elmira, NYTammy Jenkins was driving a school bus on Milan Road at around 7:40 a.m. when she suffered from a medical condition, causing the bus to leave the road and strike two trees. There were 30 students aboard Bus 116 that morning, and eight of them recieved minor injuries and were transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for evaluation. The students were a mix of elementary and middle school students. Traffic was detoured for several hours. Students that were not taken to the hospital were taken to Harlan Rowe Middle School until their parents could be contacted.

New York, NYOn March 6th 2015 at 11:06 PM, the New York State Police responded to a report of an accident on the eastbound Northern State Parkway east of exit 30, in the Town of Hempstead. A Chevrolet Malibu and a BMW were both traveling eastbound when they collided. This resulted in the Chevrolet exiting the roadway, striking the center median and entering the westbound lanes, before coming to rest on its roof.
