Bakersfield, CAAuthorities believe Jimenez was driving a Chevy pickup west on Sunset Boulevard at 6 p.m. Wednesday when he turned left into the path of a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, 57-year-old Danny Darnell Cottengim, was thrown from the vehicle. Jimenez and his wife were uninjured. Jimenez was arrested after officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol.

Bakersfield, CAAccording to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 3:17 a.m. Satruday at Frazier Mountain Park Road west of Lebec Road. A semi trailer truck turned in the path of a motocycle, killing the rider at the scene. The motorcycle did not have any lighting equipment attached, such as a headlight, and the big rig driver did not see him. We'll update this post as more details emerge.
