16-year-old boy struck by car outside of Southfield-Lathrup High School in Oakland County, Michigan

A 16-year-old Southfield-Lathrup High School student was apparently trying to 12 Mile Road in front of the school when he was struck by a car near Evergreen Road. One car swerved and missed the boy as he ran across the street, but the next car couldn’t avoid hitting him. The student was transported to a local hospital  and is in stable condition. We'll update this story with any additional details we receive.

Man in his 20's killed, after his motorcycle crosses into the oncoming traffic lanes on 12 Mile Road near Roseville, and collides with another vehicle.

Roseville police said a motorcyclist died when his bike crossed into the oncoming lanes on 12 Mile Road and hit a vehicle Thursday evening. Police said the motorcyclist, a male in his 20s, was westbound on 12 Mile when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a vehicle around 6:30 p.m. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a news release. No additional information about the man was released.
