Thursday, March 12, 2015Mark Himmelsbach and Christine Ballard were riding in a pickup when the driver lost control and the vehicle traveled into a ditch and rolled over. Ballard was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. Himmelsbach was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of his injuries. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
