Granados was first driving east on I-182 when she was attempting to change onto southbound SR 395 but failed to negotiate the curve properly and went through the median onto the northbound lanes of SR 395 before striking on oncoming car driven by Ruiz-Alarcon. Despite the fact that Granados was not wearing a seat belt, both her and Ruiz-Alarcon were ok after the damaging collision. Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.

Harold Conatser was heading west on Louisiana 40 near Louisiana 43 when Austin Culpepper veered into Conaster’s path for an unknown reason. Culpepper was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. Conatser was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, according to a news release. Conatser was just a few hundred yards away from his Livingston Parish home on Horseshoe Road when the accident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Ty Rylander, 20, of Pittsfield, Illinois was driving southbound on U.S. Route 67 near CR 1150 N., which is Grant Street in Macomb, when his car crossed over the center line and into the path of a tractor trailer. Rylander was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the wreck. The semi driver was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. Rylander was a student at Western Illinois University, and University Counseling Center staff are available for students and other members of the University community who wish to seek assistance.

Passenger killed, both drivers injured in car accident on the Heart of America Bridge in Kansas City, MO when an Impla entered the southbound lanes heading the wrong way and crashed into a Ford killing the Impala’s passenger, who was in the front seat, not wearing a seatbelt.  The drivers were transported to the hospital.

Don Coast, 69 was ejected from his vehicle and died after crossing into the southbound lane of Route 65 and colliding head-on with a Peterbuilt semi truck and trailer.  The driver of the truck was unharmed.  Witnessess reported Coast weaving between lanes prior to the crash and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

24-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash on US-301 Monday night. Joshua Odom of Fort Myers was driving northbound in the southbound lanes just north of NE 185th Street around 11:25 p.m. in a silver Nissan Altima, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Trooper D. Komorek reported, Jerry Foust Sr., 60, was traveling southbound on US-301 in a Freightliner CasCadia. Foust noticed that Odom was driving in the wrong direction and tried to avoid from colliding into him by swerving but Odom's car ended up hitting one of Foust's axles.

A man from Byron Center was killed in a three-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the east side of the state. Dick Allen Versendaal, 76, was killed when his SUV hit a pickup truck around 3:30 p.m. on Van Dyke Avenue in Bruce Township, which is about 40 miles north of Detroit. Witnesses said Versendaal was driving the wrong way on the street when hit the pickup head-on, according to Michigan State Police.

Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in Gloucester Friday where a driver was trapped inside his vehicle and passed away. Around 12 p.m., a State Trooper was dispatched to the crash in the 5200 block of Route 17 (George Washington Memorial Highway) and found a 2000 Lincoln Town car had run off the road and struck a retaining wall. according to a VSP Sergeant the driver was trapped inside his vehicle and died at the scene shortly after the crash.

An investigation was under Friday into a head-on crash in rural East San Diego County that killed a suspected drunken driver and left a 48-year-old Humbolt woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred on Church Road, south of Old Highway 80, late Thursday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol Office.
