Nathan Tenison was driving on Highway 9 in McIntosh County when he ran a stop sign and  struck a vehicle on its passenger side, killing 58-year-old David Hanks. Brandon Hanks, 24, was driving the vehicle that was hit and is the son of David Hanks. He survived the accident and his injuries were treated at a hospital in Eufaula. Tenison was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa where he is listed in stable condition. Everyone involved in the accident was wearing seatbelts.

Around 5:00 a.m. a Subaru Legacy on Dublin Boulevard ran a red light and struck a yellow cab on Powers Boulevard.  The 23-year-old male driving the Subaru was hospitalized with serious injuries. The 37-year-old male driving the yellow cab was taken to the hospital as a precaution. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.  Speed and foggy weather conditions could be a factor in the accident.

 Three women and two children dead, one woman and one man injured, and unknown driver injured after a Mercedes Benz rear ended an Acura at the intersection of Livingston Road and Livingston Terrace.  The driver of the Mercedes remains in critical condition, the female passenger, Dominique Green, 21, died at the scene, and a male passenger is hospitalized.

Arnold B. Mace of Ogden was traveling northbound on P70 and ran through a stop sign. Mace’s vehicle was struck by an eastbound vehicle on E18, driven by David Phillips of Paton. Mace was pronounced dead at the scene. Phillips was taken to Boone County Hospital.

A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured Tuesday morning when she collided with the rear end of a school bus on foggy Highway 89/91 in Cache County. Logan police said the accident report came in at 7:37 a.m. from the area of 800 West and 1700 South. A girl was driving an Oldsmobile Alero westbound on 800 West and because of dense fog did not see the stop sign at the road’s intersection with the highway. She went into the intersection and collided with the rear of the bus, which was carrying more than a dozen children to Adams Elementary School in Logan, police said.
