Milwaukee, WIMilwaukee police said a 16-year-old boy is dead after a crash early Thursday.
The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. near North 33rd Street and Capitol Drive.
Police said the 2004 Jeep he was in was traveling east on Capitol Drive when it left the roadway and struck a tree in the median.
Police said they are trying to determine whether he was driving or there were other people in the SUV that left the scene.
The Jeep was reported stolen on Jan. 14.

Seattle-Tacoma, WAA man who fled after crashing a stolen car was able to elude a police K-9 because the scent was lost when he entered water. Kirkland police were called to a report of an attempted burglary and found a man fleeing in a stolen car early Thursday. As officers arrived in the commercial area of 130th Lane Northeast, a black man driving a Mercedes that was stolen the night before from Infiniti of Kirkland was leaving the scene. After two short pursuits the driver crashed the car in the 17500 block of Redmond Woodinville Road and then ran away.

Tuesday, December 31, 2013A deputy was injured in a violent pursuit in Fairfield on Wednesday during the a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The Solano County deputy’s car sheared off a light pole and hit another pole at Highway 12 and Pennsylvania Avenue. The deputy was taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident came at the end of a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle. One of the suspects was arrested at the scene, while another fled, but was caught later.

Washington, DCA SUV that had been carjacked crashed into a Metrobus in Southwest Washington on Monday morning, officials say.
The crash happened near the intersection of Joliet Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Soutwhest, MPD officials say, where a stopped A4 bus was hit by the fleeing vehicle.
A person is in custody, officials say.
Two bus riders claimed minor injuries. The driver of the Metrobus was not injured.

Portland, ORAn SUV struck a Vancouver police car Monday morning that was blocking the site of minor traffic collision in the Minnehaha area. The man driving the SUV and his passenger were later arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, including the SUV.
About 8:30 a.m., a GMC Yukon drove around a fire truck and hit the side of a marked patrol car with its emergency lights on at Northeast 68th Street and St. Johns Road.

San Diego, CAA man was taken into custody early Thursday morning following a police pursuit that began in University City and ended in Clairemont.
At about 4:50 a.m., a clerk at the United Oil gas station on Governor Drive near Genesee Avenue called San Diego police about a man who tried to smash a store window with a sledgehammer.
Police briefly chased the suspect, later identified as Vongdara Vongvichitch, through surface streets before he crashed the Honda Civic he was driving into a fence on Limerick Avenue off Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Clairemont.

Las Vegas, NVA 23-year-old Las Vegas man wanted on felony warrants rammed two police cars when confronted by police Tuesday morning, Las Vegas police said.
Officers spotted a black Mercedes 350, reported as a stolen vehicle, being driven by Samual Donesing near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Donesing was wanted on felony warrants related to possessing a different stole vehicle, police said.

Seattle-Tacoma, WAA man driving a stolen car t-boned another vehicle, injuring a family of four on Thursday evening.
Police say just after 6 p.m., a car owner was warming up his vehicle near Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street when an unknown man jumped inside the car.
The car’s owner left a gun inside, and when he went to confront the suspect, the suspect showed the owner he had already taken the gun.
The suspect drove north on Rainier with the owner chasing after him in another car. A patrol officer saw the vehicle and began following it.
