Kentucky Justice Association - State Trial Lawyers

The Kentucky Justice Association (KJA) was founded in 1954 by a small group of local attorneys. Over the years, it has grown into an important, statewide voice for consumers. The Association’s more than 1400 members are committed to improving the quality of legal representation for Kentucky families by providing superior legal education and by keeping abreast of legislative and judicial proceedings.

LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center

About 60 percent of the world uses some version of civil law; about 40 percent relies on a form of common law. LSU Law gives its students extensive study in both common and civil law.  All LSU Law graduates receive a Juris Doctor and students may also earn the optional Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in recognition of extensive, optional coursework in the civil law. LSU Law Center’s curriculum requires six semesters.  An optional summer school is also available. Many students choose to spend summers studying in LSU Law’s program in Lyon, France. Because of the constant presence of two law systems, a comparative environment and an international flavor characterize the campus.

  Louisiana Association for Justice (LAJ) is the preeminent organization in Louisiana advancing the mission of trial lawyers to promote justice for the workplace, a clean environment, and quality and affordable health care for all Americans. Trial lawyers seek fairness in the courts for the aggrieved and injured. Trial lawyers seek to uphold the honor and dignity of the civil justice system and the legal profession.
