Police say one accident happened around 7 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Wilson Bridge Drive. A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the SUV failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist.
Police identified the motorcyclist as 42-year-old Phillip Walker of Accokeek. Walker was taken to a hospital but died of his injuries.
Prince George’s County police officials on Monday identified the man who died in a weekend motorcycle crash as 32-year-old Michael Marquis of Clinton.
Marquis was traveling north on Indian Head Highway when he crashed into a Hyundai turning from a parking lot to go south on the same road, authorities said.
“Preliminarily, it appears the driver of the Hyundai failed to yield the right of way to Marquis,” police said in a statement.
