Prince George’s County police officials on Monday identified the man who died in a weekend motorcycle crash as 32-year-old Michael Marquis of Clinton.

Marquis was traveling north on Indian Head Highway when he crashed into a Hyundai turning from a parking lot to go south on the same road, authorities said.

“Preliminarily, it appears the driver of the Hyundai failed to yield the right of way to Marquis,” police said in a statement.

Police officers found Marquis dead after responding to a call for the crash at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday near the 8400 block of Indian Head Highway.

Two people riding in the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the driver and passenger of the car were not hurt, police said.
