Anchorage, AKA man stole a Jet Ski from an industrial area off Dimond Boulevard and loaded it onto a trailer on the back of a pickup truck, and headed north on Old Seward Highway. A witness called police and they caught up with him at International Airport Road and C Street. The officers attempted to stop the man, but he instead initiated a chase. Police chased for a short time before hanging back due to public safety concerns. The man had begun running red lights, and soon after he crashed into a traffic sign at Fireweed Lane and Arctic Boulevard.

Juneau, AKJacqueline Mendenhall was arrested after she crashed a stolen SUV into an embankment at around 5:15 a.m. at a school's soccer field in Angoon. She reportedly did not have a valid driver's license and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
