At about 7:10 a.m., officer responded to a crash at Daisy Avenue and North California Street. When they arrived, they found a 13 or 14 year-old boy trapped in a crashed passenger side door. The boy was extricated and taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle, an elderly man was also taken to a hospital as he was complaining of chest pains. The other vehicle involved in the two-vehicle collision was a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was not hurt. The scene of the accident was closed for a few hours while crews investigated.

Four people were injured, one seriously, Saturday morning in a head-on collision on state Highway 12 caused by an allegedly drunk driver, Santa Rosa police said Saturday. The collision occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on Highway 12 at Melita Road, when an eastbound Ford Mustang crossed the center divider and struck a westbound Nissan Sentra head-on, according to police. The Sentra overturned and landed in the westbound lane with people trapped inside.

At least 12 people were hurt Thursday when a school bus with children on board crashed and became lodged between two trees at an Anaheim golf course, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Orange Unified School District bus crashed near the Anaheim Hills Golf Course just before 3:40 p.m., officials said. Aerial video showed the bus appearing to be bent down the middle where it was leaning against a tree. The bus driver had to be pulled from the wreckage. Three people, including the bus driver, were in critical condition.
