A San Diego Gas & Electric utility truck was the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run-crash in El Cajon that left a homeless man dead, police said Friday. The victim, Robert Fisher, 54, was crossing Jamacha Road south of East Main Street outside of a crosswalk about 10 p.m. Monday when he was run over by the truck, police said. A few minutes later Fisher, who was lying in the roadway, was also struck by a 2003 Hyundai Sonata whose driver pulled over, police said. Fisher died of blunt force trauma to the head, neck and torso, the county Medical Examiner’s Office said.
