A 60-year-old man died after his car collided head-on with a Somers ambulance on Route 190 on Saturday afternoon. Leonard W. King of East Windsor was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash. Four emergency medical personnel were riding in the ambulance at the time of the incident, and none were seriously injured. Police said Kate Schoenberger, 20, of Longmeadow was driving the ambulance, with passengers Joshua Marquardt, Katherine Morton, and Kara Williams. All four were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
