Gainesville, FLAt 10:13 p.m. on Wednesday night a woman identified as Margaret Welter, 65, was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. 301 near Hawthorne, FL. Welter was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger northbound on she crashed into a southbound 2006 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 27-year-old Kacey Faircloth of Island Grove near the intersection with Southeast 138th Place. She was declared dead at the scene and Faircloth and her two children, Kaleb Faircloth, 2, and Kendra Faircloth, 3, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol. They are now all in stable condition.

Sunday, December 14, 2014Four people including a 2-year-old girl from Titusville, died in a head-on wrong-way crash Sunday night at around 9 pm on State Road 50 in Orange County. A 32-year-old Orlando man, yet to be publicly identified, was driving a GMC sport utility vehicle the wrong way on SR 50 when he crashed into a Honda Accord driven by 22-year-old Cameron Greene of Cocoa. The Orlando man, Greene, and two passengers in Greene's car died.
