Twin Falls, IDSimon was driving near the Salmon Dam reservoir at about 4:11am to meet up with some friends to camp, when investigators believe he lost control or was disoriented and crashed into reservoir. Witnesses say the car sank very quickly, and by the time Simon was recovered, he had drowned. Investigation continues to determine if anything else caused or contributed to this accident.

Twin Falls, IDA car containing three people was traveling northbound on 3800 East when they came to a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. 30. The driver of the car then drove into the intersection, but was directly in the path of a westbound snowplow driven by Rodney Pooler, 58, and the two vehicles collided and slid off the northwestern corner of the intersection.
