UPDATE: 2 Dead in Hansen Crash, 1 Injured

The crash knocked out power for 580 customers in Hansen, Murtaugh and Kimberly between 3550 North and 3750 North and between 3500 East and 3875 East, according to Idaho Power. By 7:15 p.m., power was restored to all customers.

The driver of the plow was unhurt.

Police say all three people in the Honda Accord were wearing seatbelts when the wreck happened. 

Police Identify Man Who Died in Hansen Snowplow Crash

Both vehicles went off the north shoulder of the road, striking and damaging a power pole.
A car containing three people was traveling northbound on 3800 East when they came to a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. 30. The driver of the car then drove into the intersection, but was directly in the path of a westbound snowplow driven by Rodney Pooler, 58, and the two vehicles collided and slid off the northwestern corner of the intersection. The driver and front-seat passenger of the car, identified as a 16-year-old boy and Gomez-Mendez respectively, were both killed from the impact, and DeMesa, the backseat passenger, had to be airlifted to a hospital but has already been treated and release. Investigation continues to find out more about the casue of the accident.
