Jackson, MSKatelyn Winstead and Peyton Netherland, both 17, were killed when the vehicle they were riding in left the roadway at around 4 p.m. According to police, speed may have been a factor, but the investigation is ongoing. A third teen in the vehicle, Sarah Matthews of Attala County, was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with injuries.

Biloxi-Gulfport, MSTwo people were killed in a car accident early Wednesday morning on Old River Road in Vancleave, and two others were transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The 2001 silver Pontiac Grand Am crashed into a tree around 1:15am. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt. Edward Dean Parnel, 47, of Vancleave and Brian Matthew Walls, 40, of Escatawpa, both died at the scene. Robert Asa Vice, Jr., 40, and Kelley Burroughs, 27, both from Helena, are hospitalized in critical condition. Vice was driving the vehicle when it crashed, according to authorities.

Memphis, TNDaniel Ray George had just celebrated his 21st birthday when he was killed in a car accident involving one other vehicle along Goodman Road near I-55 in Southaven last Thursday night.
Daniel's mom and dad say his girlfriend was with him when the crash happened. She is still in the hospital.
The grieving parents are now faced with many unanswered questions.
"I don't know if I can ever make sense of it," said Daniel's mother, Angel Durbin. "I know, I miss him terribly."
Police say it appears that Daniel lost control when he swerved to miss another car.
