Sunday, February 8, 2015Police in Burlington, North Carolina report that an impaired teen drove their car into a post office. The crash occurred at approximately 11:20 PM at the post office on Maple Avenue. The investigators' report states that George Desimone, 17, veered off of Broad street and then entered a parking lot before slamming into the front of the post office. Nobody was inside the building at the time. According to police, Desimone was using an intoxicating inhalant while operating the vehicle. He was released into the custody of his parents, who promised to bring him to court.

Raleigh-Durham, NCA teen slammed into a utility pole in his mother's car in Clayton, North Carolina. The accident took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Josephine Road. The utility pole was knocked over, and troopers say that the 14-year-old boy driving the car succumbed to minor injuries and was sent to a Clayton hospital. Authorities say alcohol wasn't a factor in the crash, but the State Highway Patrol is planning to seek charges because of the driver's age. Nearby roads have been blocked off while Duke Energy replaces the pole.
