A man was killed and a woman seriously injured after a crash in Randolph County early Wednesday. Brad Rose, 21, of Trinity, died in the single-vehicle collision with a tree around 3:45 a.m. on Tabernacle Church Road west of Asheboro. Elizabeth Pierce, 20, of Trinity, was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition as of the preparation of this report. Pierce was driving a 2008 Honda car when the car left the road, she overcorrected, and they hit a tree.

Investigators believe a man killed in a single vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon was driving in excess of 75 mph when he crashed on U.S. Highway 1 outside Pinebluff. The wreck happened when the vehicle over-corrected and struck trees on the opposite side of the road.

According to police, five teens were inside the truck, while Johnston was one of three people riding in the truck bed. The age of the victims range from 14 to 17. The driver was 17 years old.

Neither Robertson or Engelmann were wearing a seat belt, and Robertson was ejected from the vehicle and died later at a local hospital. Engelmann was treated for injuries and then faces various charges including DWI.

One woman is dead and an adult and five children are injured after a head-on crash in Davidson County Friday morning. The wreck happened just before 8 a.m. near 3179 Cunningham Road near Thomasville. Troopers say the Ford Explorer was traveling north on Cunningham Road when it crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head on. The rainy weather and the Ford Explorer’s balding tires likely contributed to the accident.

Police in Salisbury are investigating after pregnant woman was involved in a head-on crash that killed her unborn child. According to the Salisbury Police Department, officers were called to a crash along the 300 block of South Main Street near the intersection of West Horah St. around noon on Friday. Officers say a 2011 Chevrolet car and 2002 Ford pickup truck had struck head on. Witnesses told police that the driver of the Chevrolet, a pregnant woman, was driving left of center for about a block before the crash.
