It was in the evening when a police officer attempted to pull over a pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old male driver, who did not stop and sped away before eventually crashing. Drake D. Carson managed to flee the scene of the crash, but left in the car were two passengers, a man with serious injuries who was eventually brought to the hospital, and a woman, Rihannon L. Steele who was killed in the collision. We will add more details to the accident as investigation continues and more information is released.

A Forest Grove teen pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with the crash that killed two young stepsisters playing in a pile of leaves in October. Mario Echeverria, 18, was sentenced to 13 months in prison for hindering prosecution after the crash, according to the Washington County District Attorney's office. Police said he and 18-year-old Cinthya Garcia Cisneros were driving home Oct. 20 when they hit and killed 11-year-old Abigail Robinson and 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckert, who were playing in the leaves near their home.
