Oregon State Police and Marion County sheriff's officers are investigating the death of a woman who was a passenger in a pickup truck that fled from police in the small town of Mount Angel and later crashed.
Woman killed in crash after police chase ID'd
A juvenile male passenger was taken to a Salem-area hospital with serious injuries.
It was in the evening when a police officer attempted to pull over a pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old male driver, who did not stop and sped away before eventually crashing. Drake D. Carson managed to flee the scene of the crash, but left in the car were two passengers, a man with serious injuries who was eventually brought to the hospital, and a woman, Rihannon L. Steele who was killed in the collision. We will add more details to the accident as investigation continues and more information is released.
