Crews are at the scene of a fatal accident on the City Avenue Bridge.

A car flipped over on the bridge near the Ridge Avenue exit on Sunday around 10:15 a.m. At least one person was killed in the crash.

The ramp to Lincoln Drive is partially blocked due to the accident.

Officials are at the scene of a double fatal accident in Lehigh County. At least one vehicle was involved in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Route 309 in Lynn Township, according to investigators. Two people were killed in the crash. Officials have not yet revealed the identities of the victims or the cause of the accident.

State police are looking into a fatal early morning crash on Interstate 279 that had the high-occupancy vehicle lanes shut down for five hours Tuesday.

The HOV lanes of Interstate 279 were closed Tuesday morning after a fatal crash near Pittsburgh.

The driver, was later identified as Stephen Quinn 26, from Newbury, Massachusetts.

"At this point in time, we're starting from scratch. All we know is we have a vehicle, we have one individual that was in that vehicle, and we're unable to identify that vehicle," said a Trooper of the Pennsylvania State Police.

A multi-vehicle accident has been cleared from Interstate 83 southbound in northern York County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The accident was earlier blocking all lanes of southbound traffic between Exit 32 (Route 382) and Exit 28 (Route 295), PennDOT said.

Traffic cameras as of 9:15 a.m. Monday showed that traffic is still backed up considerably, but PennDOT said residual delays are to be expected.

The accident was first reported at 7:50 a.m. Traffic was at a near standstill and motorists were being detoured off the highway.

A Dover man was arrested Sunday after police in Middletown said he drove drunk, crashed a stolen vehicle into the Hurst building on South Union Street and then fled the scene of the crash. Rueben Jason Estrada, 30, of the 3300 block of Village Court Drive, was arrested in the vicinity of a 7-11 store on East Main Street after the incident occurred around 2 a.m., police said. The crash caused serious damage to the building, located at 29 South Union Street, according to authorities. Estrada also did not have permission to drive the vehicle involved in the incident, police said.

A 21-year-old Gibsonia man was killed Saturday night in a crash on Middle Road Extension in West Deer Township, police said. Trenton Hutton was driving when his car slammed into a guardrail and then hit a tree, police said. An autopsy will be conducted Monday.

Pittsburgh police are investigating a crash that sent four high school students to the hospital. It happened at Waterman Avenue and Hopeland in Carrick around 8 a.m. Thursday. We're told the students all suffered minor injuries and were taken to Children's Hospital to be evaluated. The school van driver also went to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the other car, Luke Milliron, had some cuts on his face but is doing okay. "Ears are ringing a little bit, head hurts a little bit. Besides that, I'm alright," Milliron said.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike was the scene of a multi-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer has blocked the right lane at mile post 345.2E. According to state police, a tractor trailer fell down an embankment around mile marker 345.2 in the eastbound direction. The right lane is currently blocked by the car. State Police say the tractor-trailer is leaking diesel fuel because the tank was fractured in the accident, but it will not be a major hazmat issue and they are currently working to stop the leak.

Investigators say one person was killed after a car slammed into the back of a trash truck in Delaware County early Tuesday morning. The accident happened at about 7:15 a.m. in the 400 block of State Road in Media. The exact cause of the deadly accident remains under investigation.

At least four children were airlifted by medical helicopter Tuesday afternoon from the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Menallen Township, according to state police. A van driven by Leah Rudolph 33, overturned on Coon Road at approximately 3:47 p.m., said a state police spokesman. It was later determined that she fell asleep at the wheel. It was not immediately known exactly how many people were injured in the incident, but at least four were flown from the scene by two medical helicopters, Hicks said.
