A Woodlawn man has died after a crash on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery County.

The crash was reported about 2 p.m. in the 2200 block of Outlaw Road just outside Clarksville.

George Stiles Sr., 83, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a stone wall, rolled over and came to a rest upside-down in a field, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

THP investigators said Stiles was not wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Troopers say a man was hit and killed when he got out of his car to ask for help after getting lost on eastbound Interstate 24 in Clarksville.

Tyler Carl Wilsdorf, 23, of Dadeville, AL, tried to make a U-turn near mile marker 4 when he got stuck in the median around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, according to the THP report.

Troopers say they don't think Wilsdorf knew he was walking out onto the interstate when he tried to flag down help and was hit by a car that was heading east.

The driver of the vehicle is not facing criminal charges.

Two school buses from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System have crashed Monday afternoon in Clarksville, and several students have minor injuries. According to Clarksville police, one bus crashed into the rear of another bus near the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and Tiny Town Road about 2:45 p.m. Police said about a dozen students were injured, and a representative for the school system said all of the injuries are minor. Two students have been transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. School officials are working to inform the parents of those involved.

Clarksville police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash which happened around 12:41 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say Andrew S. Hafen, 25, was traveling south along Peachers Mill Road when the motorcycle left the road and crashed.

Police believe Hafen failed to negotiate a slight curve near Hidden Springs Court.

Hafen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Hafen's body was located by a motorist passing by after the crash.

Police believe alcohol appears was a factor.

Toxicology tests are pending.

A Clarksville man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer Friday morning on State Route 76.

Clarksville police said 44-year-old Christopher Brian Johnson was hit about 7:15 a.m. between Fire Station Road and Huntco Drive.

Family members told investigators it was Johnson's normal routine to walk or ride a bicycle in the area for exercise.

Police said the truck driver was heading northeast toward Interstate 24 when the tractor trailer hit Johnson. Officials also have not released the name of the truck driver or the company for which he was driving.
