Christopher Brian Johnson struck and killed by tractor-trailer on State Route 76.

A Clarksville man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer Friday morning on State Route 76.

Clarksville police said 44-year-old Christopher Brian Johnson was hit about 7:15 a.m. between Fire Station Road and Huntco Drive.

Family members told investigators it was Johnson's normal routine to walk or ride a bicycle in the area for exercise.

Police said the truck driver was heading northeast toward Interstate 24 when the tractor trailer hit Johnson. Officials also have not released the name of the truck driver or the company for which he was driving.

The investigation is ongoing, and further information is not available.
