Founded in 1883, the Minnesota State Bar Association is the oldest professional association for attorneys in Minnesota.  For licensed attorneys in Minnesota, membership is voluntary.  Membership is open to any attorney licensed to practice law in any state.  Membership is also available to law students, paralegals, and law management associates.

ACTM- Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers of Minnesota

The Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bettering the quality of trial advocacy in our nation’s courtrooms and assisting the consumer of legal services in finding experienced and highly qualified trial lawyers.  TACTL of Minnesota was established in 1982. Its members are attorneys who have been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocates (www.nbtanet.org) or by the Minnesota State Bar Association (www.mnbar.org) as specialists in civil or criminal trial law.

Pro Bono Law Firm-Minnesota

Briggs and Morgan is committed to providing legal services to low-income individuals, nonprofit and community organizations, and public interest causes. Our pro bono services range from direct legal work for the indigent to extensive assistance to the courts. The firm’s diverse provision of services aims to meet what we consider to be our highest professional obligation and we strongly encourage our attorneys to contribute at least 50 hours of pro bono services each year as aspired in the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct and the firm’s policy. 100 Briggs and Morgan attorneys provided meaningful pro bono representation in 2013.

Minnesota 511

511 is a public service of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to help travelers access information about road conditions, traffic incidents, commercial vehicle restrictions, and weather information via the phone or the Web, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Minnesota State Patrol

State Patrol provides for safe and efficient movement of traffic on Minnesota’s roads and highways; assists motorists at crashes; partners with allied city and county agencies; and inspects school buses and commercial vehicles. Capitol Security/Executive Protection provides security for all persons and property in the Capitol complex and state buildings in the Twin Cities.
