Monday, May 11, 2015A sedan and a bicycle were traveling in the same direction on Route 238 Old Williamsburg Road when the cyclist swerved into the path of the sedan. The bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. Authorities say the cyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. No other information is available at this time.

Richmond-Petersburg, VARobert Lee White, 42, was killed Tuesday in a UTV accident in the 7600 block of Dalebrook Drive. White was a passenger in the vehicle. When the UTV crashed, White's head was apparently pinned between a bar on the vehicle's roll cage and the ground, killing him instantly. He was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any serious injuries.

Washington, DCA 16-year-old was seriously injured after falling from a mountain board, similar to a skateboard, while being pulled by a vehicle in Ashburn, Va., Sunday.
Another 16-year-old was driving the vehicle, which had a rope tied to the rear, in the parking lot of Broad Run High School. That teen has been charged with reckless driving.
The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital and was later airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Last year, another Virginia teen died in a similar incident.
