An 18-year-old driver was traveling westbound, making a right turn at SE 38th and 150th Avenue SE, just south of an I-90 interchange in Eastgate, when he struck and killed a 77-year-old woman who was crossing the street on foot. The woman was then struck by a second vehicle, a Ford pickup.

Tanner Justin Gonsalez was driving on County Road U-Southeast when icy conditions caused him to lose control and crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He reportedly died at the scene. More info will be posted as it is released.

Washington State University student Silvia Muro-Escalante was headed west on State Route 26 just after 6 p.m. when her car left the roadway and rolled 40 yards. Her passengers, Karen Rodriguez and Magly Mendoza-Salinas, were also injured, and a third passenger was uninjured. Muro-Escalante was transported by MedStar to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston in unknown condition.

Zack Davis, 18 years old, passed away Monday night. He was involved in a 6 car accident on the interchange between Highway 16 and I-5. The road was icy at the time. Mr. Davis's car was rear-ended while he was still in his car. The driver of that car will be cited. What money damages are recoverable in a death claim? Every death from an accident is tragic.
