At about 10:30pm, Barker was driving the wrong way in the westbound lane of I-182 when he struck two other oncoming cars, one of which contained Miriam Garcia, 30, and the other which contained Sanchez, Martha Zambrano, 49, an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old. Sanchez was critically injured in the collision and died after being taken to the hospital, but no one else was seriously hurt. A wrong-way driver, not yet identified publicly, crashed with another vehicle and died at the site on Interstate 82 near Granger Monday evening. All five occupants in the car that was struck and and a third car were taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. The extent of their injuries has not been reported. The crash was reported about 6:35 p.m. one mile west of Granger, when the driver of a Volkswagen Beetle was westbound in the eastbound lanes and crashed into an eastbound Toyota Corolla, which then crashed into an eastbound Honda Accord.

6-year-old boy died and three other people were hospitalized Friday following a wrong-way car crash on Interstate 5 just north of Vancouver.
