I’ve lived in five different states, and in each one there is at least one designated bad-driving scapegoat. In Wisconsin, it’s Illinois drivers (and Minnesota in the northern part of the state). In Minnesota, it’s Wisconsin. In Massachusetts, Rhode Island drivers are the worst. Both Washington and Idaho hate Californians generally--especially their driving.
Earlier today in Nevada, the world's first self-driving semi-truck crossed the Hoover Dam. Freightliner was given a license to test out its autonomously driving tractor trailer in the Silver State, which has legislation allowing self-driving vehicles, and today's was the first test of the (sort of) driverless truck on public roads.
Motor vehicle accidents are a common occurrence in Las Vegas and across Clark County, Nevada. With a huge influx daily of visitors from across the world, many crashes are caused by drivers who are unfamiliar with Vegas freeways and roads. Many are caused by drunk drivers or distracted drivers taking in the sights. Whatever the cause, car accidents are a major safety and economic issue for the Las Vegas community.

Motorcycle accidents are a common occurrence in Las Vegas and across Clark County, Nevada. Given the warm weather year round, Las Vegas is a popular motorcycling destination. Since there are so many bikes on the roads, the number of collisions is high. Because there is a large number of visitors to Vegas at any given time due to the tourism industry, many motorcycle crashes are caused by these drivers who don't know the roads well, have been drinking, or who are distracted by the sights.
Given the dry weather year-round, bicycling is a popular outdoor sport in Nevada and the Las Vegas region. To support the interests and safety of bicyclists, Las Vegas has 444 miles of bike lanes and 102 miles of paved off-road trails.
