51-year-old Michael P. Thompson was southbound on I-5 when he attempted to illegally pass a car in the left-hand shoulder and ended up striking the guardrail. His car then collided with Douffet's car before hitting a semi-truck driven by Daniel P. Card, 51, and finally striking the guardrail one last time. Douffet was taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The driver of an SUV, who is yet to be named by the Washington State Patrol, was allegedly driving while intoxicated when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled over several times along US Highway 395, south of Hatch Road in Spokane, Washington late Monday night. He was taken to the hospital although the extent of his injuries is not yet known. Highway 395 has now reopened after being closed for about an hour due to the accident.

Eustacio M. Gamez, 74, of George, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center following a two-vehicle accident just outside of Quincy, Washington. The accident occured on Monday, October 20 when Gamez was driving north on Road 10 NW in his GMC pickup and failed to yield to an eastbound vehicle, a Mercury Mountaineer, on State Route 28, when the Mountaineer collided with the pickup. Gamez's passenger, 52-year-old Leonor Hernandez Contreras, of Quincy, was taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center.

Charles Shuler, 48, of Beaverton, was injured in a motorcycle accident on west state Highway 500 near Interstate 205 in Vancouver, Washington. Schuler lost control due to high speed and was ejected from his motorcycle at 10:08 p.m. Sunday night. Shuler was wearing a helmet. He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and is expected to face charges of speeding, driving without a motorcycle endorsement, and third-degree driving with a suspended license. Shuler's condition is not available.
