A 15-year-old passenger is dead and a 17-year-old driver is injured after a car accident on an icy Route 16 near Lochgelly, West Virginia. An Oak Hill police officer tried to stop a car for a minor traffic violation near Save-A-Lot in Oak Hill.  When he turned on his lights, the driver fled, accelerating to 80 m.p.h according to the officer.  Due to the dangerous conditions of the roadway, the officer chose not to pursue the vehicle.
