William H. Bowen School of Law -UALR

With a student body of approximately 440 and one of the lowest student/faculty ratios of any law school — 15 to 1 — the UALR Bowen School of Law offers a challenging educational experience in a close and supportive environment.  Smaller classes enhance the learning experience.  Students interact with their peers and with the members of the faculty to a degree not possible at many schools.  Our faculty is an experienced group of caring teachers and scholars.  The academic experience at the UALR Bowen School of Law is challenging and rigorous, yet supportive.  In addition, our low tuition enables our graduates to choose among a wide variety of employment opportunities without worrying about paying off an enormous debt.

Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association

The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, incorporated in 1963, has grown into an important, statewide voice for consumers. ATLA’s members are committed to improving the quality of legal representation for Arkansas families by providing high quality legal education and by keeping abreast of legislative and judicial activities. The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association also helps to educate citizens about their legal rights through public engagement.  ATLA has become the state’s largest and most active voluntary statewide legal organization representing, educating and developing Arkansas’ trial bar. Our members are attorneys dedicated to protecting the health and safety of Arkansas families, to enhancing consumer protections and to preserving each and every citizen's right to trial by jury and access to the courts.

Pro Bono Representation - Arkansas Bar Association

Thousands of Arkansas lawyers volunteer their time to help the poor in their communities by working through pro bono programs operated by civil legal services throughout the state. The new Arkansas Access to Justice commission has focused on pro bono as a way of enhancing equal justice in the state. The State Bar of California

Created by the state legislature in 1927, the State Bar is a public corporation within the judicial branch of government, serving as an arm of the California Supreme Court. All State Bar members are officers of the court. Membership in The State Bar of California affords attorneys the right and privilege of practicing law in this state. The bar's integrated network of functions and services — many of them mandated by law — protects the public and assists attorneys in meeting their professional obligations.

Whittier Law School

Whittier Law School is strongly committed to the success of our students. We offer a Bar and Academic Support Program that works with you from Orientation through the bar examination. In our Lawyering Skills Institute, clinical and externship programs, and our Institute for Trial and Appellate Practice, you will learn the nuts and bolts of lawyering. In our study abroad programs in Spain, France, Israel, Mexico and China we expose our students to the global nature and cross-cultural demands of modern law practice. At Whittier you not only will learn the law, but you will learn how to do what lawyers actually do in practice. We are proud that Whittier Law School students graduate more “practice ready” than students from many other law schools.

UCI Law School

UC Irvine School of Law opened its doors to students in August 2009, the first new public law school in California in more than 40 years. UCI Law seeks to create the ideal law school for the 21st century by doing the best job of training lawyers for the practice of law at the highest levels of the profession. Recruited from prestigious schools, the faculty ranked seventh in the country in scholarly impact in a recent study. The student body has admissions qualifications comparable to those of student bodies at top 20 law schools. The school’s innovative curriculum stresses hands-on learning, interdisciplinary study and public service.
