The Florida Justice Association (FJA), formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (AFTL), is dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida's civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida's citizens and consumers.  We passionately believe that all Floridians benefit when deserving individuals have a fair chance to seek justice in our state's courts and that Florida's consumers are made safer when large corporations and industries are held to a high ethical standard and accept fair responsibility for their actions.

The Trial Lawyers Section is proud to have 7,000 members who devote a substantial portion of their practice to trial work.  Section members consist of  plaintiffs, defense and commercial litigators. The Section’s Executive Council is evenly divided among the three groups. The Section is devoted to preserving access to courts and judicial independence, as well as providing timely continuing educational opportunities for its members. The Section also provides a forum for discussion and addresses matters which are of interest or impact trial practice in Florida, especially those that come through the Florida Legislature.

The State Bar of Georgia exists to foster among the members of the Bar of this state the principles of duty and service to the public; to improve the administration of justice; and to advance the science of law. All persons authorized to practice law in this state are required to be members.  The Bar has strict codes of ethics and discipline that are enforced by the Supreme Court of Georgia through the State Bar's Office of the General Counsel. Membership dues and other contributions help the Bar provide programs that are mutually beneficial to its members and the general public.
