Salt Lake City, UTIt was about 6:30pm when a van carrying Marshall P. Jack and many other male passengers was speeding and being pursued by a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer. The van eventually lost control and drove off of Highway 40, where it crashed and landed on its side. Jack lost his life in the accident, while three other men hospitalized with critical injuries. It is believed that alcohol contributed to the accident.

Salt Lake City, UTA Canyons School District school bus crashed at the roundabout at Sage Hollow Drive at around 7:15 a.m. Thursday morning. The bus left the roadway right as it was entering the roundabout, damaging several trees and a street sign. No one on the bus was injured. The bus driver is believed to have been driving under the influence.
