Hailey Evans, 20, of Price, was critically injured Saturday around 5 pm when the vehicle she was driving hit a Jeep head-on in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 6 near Soldier Summit. Evans tried to pass a semitruck just before the passing lane ended but was traveling too fast and lost control when she tried to move back in front of the truck. Her car crashed into an oncoming Jeep and Evans, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected from her car. She was airlifted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo in critical condition.
