Duluth, MN-Superior, WINordeen was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 7 at about 5:50pm when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head on with a southbound car containing two people, before a third vehicle finally struck the rear of Nordeen's pickup truck. The two people in the southbound car, identified as Madeline Stringer, 15, and Mary Stringer, 49, sustained serious injuries, and Madeline was airlifted to the hospital while Mary was taken by ambulance. Nordeen was also brought to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Portland-Auburn, MEAt about 4:45pm, a pickup truck was waiting to make a turn when another pickup truck struck it from behind, which propelled it into the oncoming lane where it collided with a third vehicle head-on. Five people were hospitalized as a result, though none had life-threatening injuries. We will update this accident as more information is released.
