The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says that a 79-year-old Mt. Iron man is dead after a three-vehicle accident on Highway 7.
UPDATE: Multi-vehicle crash kills one person, injures two others
The Mountain Iron man killed in a three vehicle crash along the Iron Range Friday evening has been identified.
Nordeen was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 7 at about 5:50pm when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head on with a southbound car containing two people, before a third vehicle finally struck the rear of Nordeen's pickup truck. The two people in the southbound car, identified as Madeline Stringer, 15, and Mary Stringer, 49, sustained serious injuries, and Madeline was airlifted to the hospital while Mary was taken by ambulance. Nordeen was also brought to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.
