Warren Nordeen, 79, killed and Madeline Stringer, 15, and Mary Stringer, 49, seriously injured in three-vehicle crash on Highway 7 in Mountain Iron, MN

Nordeen was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 7 at about 5:50pm when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head on with a southbound car containing two people, before a third vehicle finally struck the rear of Nordeen's pickup truck. The two people in the southbound car, identified as Madeline Stringer, 15, and Mary Stringer, 49, sustained serious injuries, and Madeline was airlifted to the hospital while Mary was taken by ambulance. Nordeen was also brought to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.
