At approximately 2:30 AM Thursday, police in Nome, Alaska stopped a car near Third Avenue and Steadman Street for failing to signal during a turn and non-operational brake lights. When officers asked the driver, 34-year-old Scott Aningayou, to get out of the car, he slammed the vehicle into reverse, hitting an officer in the hip, before speeding away. The officers pursued Aningayou as he spead through two stop signs and turned off his cars headlights to evade officers. The driver stopped his car on West D Street before trying to run, and continued to fight while being taken into custody.
