A 22-year-old college student is dead after he slammed his vehicle into a school bus as it was leaving campus early Saturday morning. In a letter posted to Rider University's website, School President Mordechai Rozanski wrote, "It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I confirm the tragic loss of Rider Student, Eliseo Diaz, who was killed early this morning in an automobile accident near the entrance to campus."

A Milwaukee man, 40, was killed in a crash Friday afternoon at 60th Street and Villard Avenue. Witnesses told police that a car traveling northbound on North 60th Street at a high rate of speed, didn't stop at the stop signal at Villard Avenue. They said the driver crossed the center lane and struck the center lane light pole. The car then struck the front end of a school bus. The car then flipped over and stopped. Police said the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. No children were on the bus, but the 68-year-old bus driver was injured, police said.

An accident involving a school bus in Union County sent more than 20 students to the hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers and emergency responders. The accident happened at 7:27 a.m. at Whitlock Lake Road and Morris Farm Road near Jonesville, troopers said. Troopers said the 1988 Freightliner school bus was traveling south on Whitlock Lake Road, when it ran off the right side of road and hit a tree. Union County Emergency Services director Ronnie Robertson confirmed six students were taken to Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union.
